The sixth edition of the RKMSV Under 15 Tournament has been won by Right To Dream from Ghana. During a sunny, but especially warm weekend, spectators were treated to great football, excitement and entertainment. The last thing was because of the final winner from Africa. In the final they beat Belgian KV Mechelen with 3-0.

The Ascension weekend was this year the stage for this international tournament that is organized annually on the football fields in Meijel. A nice line-up of participants, including FC Copenhagen, NEC, FC Twente, Rangers FC and Fulham FC, took a lot of views of various spectators from the region. In particular, they saw a high tension in the group stage, in which teams didn’t lost their eyes to eachother for a moment. KV Mechelen managed to cheer in the group stage by winning 2-0 of the final winner Right To Dream. They won on the other side their final groupmatch against competitor Fulham FC with 2-1. This meant a semi-final spot for Right To Dream. In the other poule, it was especially Rotterdam’s newcomer Sparta that achieved several points. Worse another by a handsome 7-1 victory at the Belgian Royal Antwerp FC, they made sure that they ended up at the same level with winners Rangers FC. On the basis of the mutual result (1-0 for Rangers FC), the Scottish went as highest ranked to the semi-finals.

Peel and Maas United also knew how to keep up with the big clubs, but they didn’t had a lot of luck. They didn’t score and became last in their group. The battle for place nine they won at first from Willem II on a penalty-shootout. And afterwards they beat Belgian Rupel Boom FC by 2-0. As a result Peel and Maas ended United in a good ninth place. The battle for place five was eventually won by Fulham FC, winning 1-0 from NEC from Nijmegen.

In the first semifinal, Right To Dream had to play against Sparta Rotterdam. The Ghanaians came by 1-0, however, the Rotterdammers fought strongly. Eventually, a free kick for Right To Dream appeared from the edge of sixteen for a third consecutive final spot. Whoever became the opponent was decided in the game between KV Mechelen and Rangers FC. This semi-final went spicy. Still, the Belgians had to continue with ten men after a direct red card was handed out for kicking a player. However, the Belgians did not let go, because just after the break they got 1-0 and they did not give this away. As a result, KV Mechelen was allowed to re-prepare for a match against the African talents from Right To Dream.

During the final it was especially Right To Dream that showed why they were so praised; Passion, individual quality and love for the ball! This ultimately resulted was very good and a correct view of the match. This meant the third title in a row! In addition, the Ghanaians went home with a number of individual awards. Thus Mohammed Fuseine Gadafi was crowned as the topscorer of the tournament and a judge decided that Kamaldeen Sulemana was called the best player of the tournament. Through this road we would like to congratulate Right To Dream with the titles achieved!
